Which address ranges are private under RFC 1918?
10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12 and 192.168.0.0/16
The 172 range is only 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255. 169.254.0.0/16 is link-local, 127.0.0.0/8 is loopback, and the 192.0.2.0 style ranges are documentation.
